Senior Immigration Staff Attorney
Job Summary
To support a humanitarian immigration practice, the full-time Senior Immigration Staff Attorney will independently draft and review immigration applications, manage client communications, and coordinate with legal staff while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in hiring and training staff attorneys, ensuring proficiency in immigration case processes and legal standards
- Lead daily case huddles to communicate priorities and coordinate workflow to meet deadlines while maintaining legal quality
- Research immigration statutes and regulations to resolve case questions and support legal recommendations for assigned matters
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar
- 1-3 years of post-J.D. legal experience in immigration law with proficiency in legal drafting and document review
- Experience preparing and reviewing immigration applications and related filings; humanitarian immigration experience preferred
- Experience providing technical guidance or training to attorneys or legal support staff preferred
