Senior Information Security Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time, exempt capacity, the Senior Information Security Analyst will serve as a first responder to security events, monitor alerts and logs for threats, and collaborate with various teams to enhance the organization's security posture.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor IDS alerts, network and system logs, and network traffic to detect and report potential threats
• Perform incident response, including security event analysis, incident handling, and threat analysis
• Provide technical analysis and support for security applications, technologies, and products while mentoring junior analysts

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent knowledge with 5+ years of related professional experience
• Technical expertise in systems administration and security tools, along with knowledge of security practices and procedures
• Intermediate networking knowledge, including multiple protocols
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or CEH
• Experience in complex environments with effective organizational skills
