Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
To support the operational backbone of the engineering team, the remote Senior Infrastructure Engineer will take ownership of legacy systems while shaping the architecture for future projects, ensuring stability, security, and high availability of core production environments running Java/Tomcat applications and MySQL 5.7.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the incident management lifecycle for production, troubleshooting OS-level bottlenecks and driving root-cause analysis
- Actively monitor system performance and application logs to quickly diagnose and resolve operational issues
- Collaborate on designing and scaling cloud infrastructure for new products while maintaining existing legacy systems
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in System Administration, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Operations
- Deep expertise in Linux administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, particularly with Java/Tomcat applications
- Strong knowledge of MySQL 5.7, including query tuning and backup/restore strategies
- Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform and managed services, including Cloud SQL and BigQuery
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform) and CI/CD deployment workflows
