Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely during Eastern Time business hours, the contract Senior Infrastructure Engineer will support Data Center Automation initiatives by administering and troubleshooting server infrastructure, resolving connectivity issues, and coordinating with various technical teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for deployments.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux and/or Windows server infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments
- Investigate and diagnose connectivity, network, and authentication issues that affect automation deployments
- Coordinate firewall rule changes, network access requests, and security approvals while documenting troubleshooting steps and infrastructure changes
Required qualifications
- 7-10+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or server engineering
- Experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise Linux and/or Windows servers
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, and firewall concepts
- Experience managing user accounts, service accounts, and permissions configurations
- Familiarity with RBAC, IAM, Active Directory, or similar access-management technologies
