Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Owning a significant portion of Kit's core infrastructure, the full-time Senior Infrastructure Engineer II will manage databases, Kubernetes, version upgrades, and platform tooling while providing day-to-day support in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee core infrastructure areas, ensuring uptime and reliability while addressing infrastructure support requests
• Lead projects for version upgrades and improvements, documenting processes and creating self-service tooling for engineers and non-engineers
• Participate in a three-person on-call rotation, responding to incidents and reducing page volume through proactive measures

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE roles
• Proven experience managing production infrastructure on AWS and operating Kubernetes in a production environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead major upgrades or migrations with minimal customer impact
• Experience in building monitoring and alerting systems that effectively identify real issues
• Strong skills in writing clear documentation and runbooks for infrastructure processes
