Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
To deliver a high-priority, 10-week VMware Modernization engagement for a financial institution, the full-time Senior Infrastructure Engineer will assess and modernize a legacy Site Recovery Manager environment to VMware Live Recovery, implement an AWS-backed cyber vault, and configure network security segmentations while ensuring compliance and documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and modernize the existing legacy VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) environment to VMware Live Recovery
- Design and implement a secure, AWS-backed cyber-resiliency vault to safeguard critical financial infrastructure
- Deploy and configure VMware vDefend / vShield for strict east-west firewalling and secure replication traffic
Required qualifications
- Expert-level, hands-on experience with VMware Live Recovery and legacy Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
- Strong implementation experience with VMware vDefend or vShield, focusing on micro-segmentation and east-west firewall configurations
- Proven experience in establishing secure AWS integrations and cloud storage compliance
- Deep understanding of cyber-vault architectures and data protection frameworks within financial institutions
- Must be a US citizen and able to pass a 10-year background check and a 7/10-panel drug screen
