Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer will manage the development and operations of a large-scale data processing platform using Apache Flink, enhancing developer tooling, scaling infrastructure, and ensuring system resiliency.
Key responsibilities
- Champion and contribute to projects across the full platform stack, including enhancing developer tooling and scaling infrastructure
- Ship high-quality code and raise the team's technical bar while collaborating extensively with platform users
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to maintain the resiliency of the platform
Required qualifications
- Experience with Apache Flink and contributions to its open-source projects
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and distributed systems
- Demonstrated experience in programming languages such as Java, Rust, Go, and/or Ruby
- Experience with data-intensive systems like Kafka, Iceberg, and/or BigQuery
- Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance daily work processes
