Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Application/Infrastructure Support Engineer will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, manage system outages, and ensure compliance with security policies while collaborating with users and senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud application systems
- Detect, isolate, and resolve system outages, documenting problems and implementing workarounds
- Communicate with users regarding hardware and software issues, ensuring timely escalation when necessary
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
