Senior Instructional Designer
Job Summary
To support the K-12 division's literacy programs, the remote Senior Instructional Designer will design high-quality digital learning experiences for Grades 6-12 ELA, collaborating with cross-functional teams and balancing hands-on design work with mentorship and process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Design digital curriculum using Understanding by Design (UbD) and backward design principles
- Develop prototypes and digital content tools in collaboration with subject matter experts
- Lead build rounds, manuscript reviews, and ensure project goals are met on time
Required qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in digital instructional design or curriculum development
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a related field
- Experience with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and universal design for learning
- Proficiency with Agile workflows and collaborative team environments
