Senior Insurance Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Bringing an extremely solution-oriented mindset, the remote Senior Insurance Claims Specialist will assess risk on high-severity claims, mentor Claims Specialists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective resolution of complex incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Assess risk and severity on complex claims and recommend next steps
• Take ownership of high-severity escalations, coordinating with Legal, Risk & Insurance, and other partners
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Claims Specialists and contribute to training materials and process improvements

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on claims operations experience, including assessing risk on high-value claims
• Strong risk-assessment skills with the ability to judge severity and know when to escalate
• Experience mentoring or guiding less experienced Claims Specialists
• Comfortable utilizing and scaling AI-enabled tools and automation
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
