Senior Insurance Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Leading the insurance collections team, the full-time Senior Insurance Collections Specialist will manage accounts receivable, ensure timely resolution of claims, and mentor team members while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide liaison services between healthcare providers, patients, and revenue sources to ensure accurate account resolution
• Negotiate payments for current and past due accounts, maintaining active communication with insurance carriers
• Monitor payer denial trends and manage assigned worklists to identify accounts requiring follow-up

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in insurance collections within a large healthcare organization
• Knowledge of medical terminology, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office products
• Experience with HMO, PPO, and Medicare insurances
• 1+ years of supervisory experience in healthcare revenue management cycle roles
