Senior Interoperability Architect
Job Summary
Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time Senior Interoperability Architect will develop and maintain interoperability specifications, analyze industry standards, and design solutions using HL7 and FHIR standards while collaborating within Agile teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and maintain interoperability specifications for VA exchange use cases
- Analyze industry standards and VHA business requirements to recommend specification approaches
- Design solutions using HL7 V2, C-CDA, and FHIR, including API specifications for standards-based interfaces
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in standards development and conformance
- Experience with interoperability specifications, such as standards and data models
- Familiarity with HL7 specifications, including V2, C-CDA, and FHIR
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA background investigation
