Job Summary

Seeking an enterprising and aggressive Senior Investigative Reporter, the full-time remote position will focus on delivering impactful investigative stories and long-term enterprise projects while leveraging subject-matter expertise and a robust network of sources.

Key responsibilities

• Generate eye-opening investigative scoops and transformative long-term enterprise projects
• File record requests, track political donations, and scrutinize business records to support reporting efforts
• Collaborate with a small team of remote journalists while also working independently to meet deadlines and produce accurate copy

Required qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience as a reporter
• Deep proficiency in investigative techniques and document analysis
• Ability to develop ambitious enterprise stories over extended periods
• Strong understanding of what constitutes a compelling investigative story
• Commitment to accountability journalism and The Lever's subscriber-supported model
