Senior IT Operations Engineer
Job Summary
Automating IT operations, the full-time Senior IT Operations Engineer will manage the joiner/mover/leaver lifecycle, oversee Jira Service Management configurations, and partner with various departments to enhance operational efficiencies in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Automate the joiner/mover/leaver lifecycle across multiple platforms, focusing on deprovisioning to mitigate audit exposure
- Design and implement automation solutions using Okta Workflows, Google Apps Script, and Python, ensuring robust version control and error handling
- Manage the IT service queue in Jira Service Management, including request types, routing rules, and SLA logic to improve support capacity
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in automating IT and identity operations within a SaaS environment
- Hands-on administration experience with Okta, including lifecycle management and SCIM provisioning
- Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language, with strong Google Workspace administration skills
- Experience building multi-step, event-driven flows in integration platforms, with knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code principles, preferably using Terraform or equivalent tools
