Job Summary
To support the modernization of DHS FEMA applications, the full-time Senior Java Cloud Developer will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud-native solutions using Java/Spring Boot and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), while working remotely with occasional onsite meetings in Washington, DC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, and containerization of enterprise Java/Spring Boot applications for deployment to GCP
- Implement scalable, secure cloud-native architectures and execute application migrations to GCP services
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and GCP services
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as Git, Harness, Maven, and Gradle
- Understanding of FISMA and FedRAMP requirements is highly desired
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance; DHS EOD Public Trust is preferred
