Senior Java Data Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the development and optimization of critical data pipelines, the remote contract Senior Java Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain high-volume data solutions while collaborating across engineering teams in the Financial Services sector.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume data solutions and ETL processes across relational databases and microservices
- Collaborate across engineering teams to integrate complex banking data sources and optimize core architecture
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and problem resolution across delivery pods
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 5+ years of software and data engineering experience using Java and Oracle
- Demonstrated experience working within the Banking or Financial Services sector
- Deep experience in relational database design, query performance tuning, and scalable application development
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for backend microservices is preferred
