Senior Java Developer
Job Summary
Supporting the migration of EPA software systems, the full-time Senior Java Developer will provide advanced Java development and operational support for the SDWIS application while contributing to the transition to the DW-SFITES system in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for the SDWIS application, including troubleshooting and performance monitoring
- Support the technical migration effort from SDWIS to DW-SFITES, including data conversion and application redevelopment
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based application code in accordance with EPA standards and project requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-level Java applications
- Expertise in complex query development and performance tuning with advanced Oracle database skills
- Experience creating, consuming, and modifying APIs for system integration
- Proven experience migrating legacy applications to new platforms
- Ability to work across requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment phases
