Job Summary
Contributing to impactful core infrastructure projects, the full-time Senior Java Engineer will enhance Elasticsearch's performance, maintainability, and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a distributed environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing new horizontally-scalable features and APIs in Elasticsearch
- Improving operation and observability of Elasticsearch cloud systems
- Owning operational investigations end-to-end to resolve performance or stability issues
Required qualifications:
- Strong experience in core Java, including concurrency and parallelism
- Proficient in crafting APIs and understanding tradeoffs
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and practices
- Experience leading large-scale projects across engineering teams
- Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development and optimize code
