Senior Java Engineer

Job Summary

Contributing to the architecture and design of Elasticsearch's security features, the full-time Senior Java Engineer will focus on developing critical security components, optimizing performance at scale, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust data protection in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to core security initiatives from architecture to production, focusing on critical features
• Develop foundational security models and optimize security performance in distributed systems
• Collaborate with the InfoSec team to drive vulnerability management and automate security workflows

Required qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of Java internals and JVM memory management
• Experience building scalable authorization systems under high concurrency
• Solid comprehension of distributed systems security principles
• Familiarity with edge identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and SAML
• Proven track record of leveraging AI to enhance development and optimize code
