Senior Java Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War customer, the full-time Senior Java Software Engineer will maintain and enhance production applications using Java Spring Boot, React, and PostgreSQL, while working in a hybrid environment that includes on-site requirements in Northern Virginia and Maryland.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and support a production application, managing defects, security patches, and production releases
- Implement application-side integrations with the modernization platform and maintain operational runbooks
- Participate in the Severity 1 on-call rotation to address critical production incidents and ensure compliance with security standards
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise Java development using Spring Boot
- Strong experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs
- Experience operating and supporting production applications in cloud environments
- Familiarity with formal change management processes and privileged-access security controls
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a current favorably adjudicated Tier 5 investigation or Top Secret clearance
