Senior Java Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a small team of software engineers, the full-time Senior Java Software Engineer - Application Enhancements Lead will deliver enhancements and new capabilities to production Java and React applications while providing hands-on technical leadership in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and release new capabilities and enhancements to production Java and React applications
- Own technical design decisions, establish code review standards, and ensure release readiness for development work
- Collaborate with Government product owners to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and manage the development backlog
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of enterprise Java software development experience, including Spring Boot
- Strong SQL development experience, particularly with PostgreSQL
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs
- Demonstrated experience leading a small software engineering team through technical design, code reviews, testing, and production releases
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
