Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Engineer, the full-time remote position will design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Node.js, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improve existing codebases.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems utilizing Java and Node.js frameworks
- Build scalable systems using event streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs while refactoring existing codebases for enhanced performance
Required qualifications
- Master's in Computer Science with 2+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer, or Bachelor's in Computer Science with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with SQL Server and/or MongoDB, including writing efficient queries and designing schemas
- Familiarity with designing, building, and maintaining RESTful web APIs
- Proficiency in using Jira for sprint planning and task tracking
- Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS and GCP, as well as Docker/Kubernetes for application orchestration
