Job Summary
To enhance the shared platform functionalities of Elasticsearch, the full-time Senior Kubernetes Engineer will design and manage distributed systems, contribute to core infrastructure projects, and oversee Kubernetes orchestration in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Designing, building, and evolving distributed systems for Serverless Elasticsearch projects across cloud providers
- Owning the Kubernetes orchestration of Elasticsearch clusters and improving operational observability
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and enhance developer productivity
Required qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Go, including experience with concurrency primitives and building Kubernetes controllers
- Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes
- Experience in crafting APIs and leading large-scale engineering projects
- Proficient in algorithms and data structures
- Ability to work autonomously and drive decisions in a distributed team environment
