Job Summary
As a strategic legal advisor, the Senior Legal Counsel, Illinois Licensed will work full-time remotely to build scalable commercial and corporate legal infrastructure, manage complex agreements, evaluate risks, and support corporate governance and strategic transactions while leveraging AI tools for enhanced operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements to support enterprise growth objectives
- Develop scalable contract templates and governance standards to improve legal consistency and accelerate contract cycle times
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments through legal diligence and enterprise risk assessment activities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of legal experience focused on contract drafting, negotiation, and management, preferably in pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors
- Experience with AI-enabled legal tools and contract automation platforms
- Demonstrated success negotiating complex agreements with vendors and strategic partners
- Supervisory experience managing and mentoring Contract Counsel
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance
