Seeking a full-time Senior Legal Counsel - U.S. Licensed, the role focuses on navigating legal complexities in a remote environment, managing product legal strategy, compliance, and privacy issues while partnering with the executive team and cross-functional departments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop scalable legal systems and processes for privacy, data compliance, and commercial contracts
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales teams to streamline legal workflows and support business initiatives
- Serve as the in-house legal expert, advising on GDPR, CCPA, and other regulatory requirements while reducing reliance on outside counsel
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school in the United States
- Active member in good standing of a State Bar Association
- Experience as in-house counsel at a tech company or with a top-tier law firm serving tech clients
- Deep expertise in data privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA
- Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II requirements and intellectual property law
