Job Summary
Delivering thoughtful underwriting decisions, the full-time Senior Life Underwriter will review individual life insurance applications, assess risks, and collaborate with medical directors and peers, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and underwrite individual life insurance applications within authorized limits
- Communicate underwriting decisions clearly and foster strong relationships with internal partners
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and engage in continuous learning within the industry
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of life underwriting experience
- Strong underwriting judgment and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring others is a plus
- College degree preferred; high school diploma required
- Willingness to travel periodically for business needs
