Senior Loan Counselor

Job Summary

To support effective loan recovery efforts, the full-time Senior Loan Counselor will counsel borrowers on loss mitigation solutions, negotiate repayment arrangements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate proactive contact with delinquent borrowers to reestablish payment patterns and reduce defaults
• Negotiate and restructure repayment plans to help borrowers avoid foreclosure while adhering to investor and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to maximize collection efforts and support resolution strategies

Required qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required
• Knowledge of investor and insurer guidelines (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) preferred
• Previous experience in collections and default loan servicing preferred
• Experience with ICE Mortgage Technology platforms, including MSP, is highly preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong typing and data entry skills required
