Senior Machine Learning Director

Job Summary

Leading the development of AI services, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Director will manage teams focused on building LLM-powered services for clinical intake, provider support, and operational workflows, while ensuring the production of dependable and clinically sound outputs in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow teams of ML engineers and applied scientists to build AI services from problem framing to production operation
• Own and strategize the development of frontier LLM applications, including prompt design and operational workflows
• Direct the creation of in-house deep learning models for clinical and recommendation use cases, ensuring quality and oversight in development

Required qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in machine learning and software engineering, with 8+ years in leadership roles managing ML teams
• Proven track record of deploying ML-powered products at scale and owning them operationally
• Deep understanding of modern LLM application development, including prompt engineering and evaluation
• Experience in training and deploying deep learning models where quality impacts user outcomes
• Strong judgment in software architecture, including service boundaries and operational trade-offs
