Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the development of machine learning models for camera-based perception, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will design, deploy, and improve deep learning solutions for autonomous trucks while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy deep learning models for tasks such as object detection and scene understanding
• Own end-to-end model development, including data curation, training, evaluation, and deployment
• Analyze model performance, identify failure modes, and enhance robustness across diverse driving scenarios

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field with 6+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of experience
• Experience in developing and deploying deep learning models for computer vision or perception systems
• Strong programming skills in Python and PyTorch, with a focus on production-quality ML code
• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed compute environments for training and evaluation
• Solid understanding of modern deep learning architectures used in perception, such as CNNs and transformers
