Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To support innovative giving solutions, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will design, build, and deploy models for real-time decision-making and AI-based fraud detection, ensuring a personalized experience for donors in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain machine learning models that enhance donor engagement and protect against fraud
• Translate complex product problems into effective machine learning solutions, including ranking, classification, and anomaly detection
• Mentor team members on machine learning best practices and oversee the production reliability of deployed models

Required qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related STEM field
• 2+ years of experience in building and deploying machine learning systems in production
• Strong understanding of the mathematics behind machine learning, including probability, statistics, and optimization
• Hands-on experience with classical machine learning and deep learning techniques, as well as modern ML tools like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience with large-scale data processing and a track record in areas such as recommender systems or fraud modeling
