Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance Quora's recommendation systems, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will improve existing ranking models, take ownership of machine learning systems, and identify new opportunities for machine learning applications, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Improve existing machine learning ranking models using coding skills and ML knowledge
• Take end-to-end ownership of machine learning systems, including data pipelines and model training
• Identify new opportunities to apply machine learning across different parts of the Quora product

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with recommendation or ranking models
• Strong understanding of the mathematical foundations of machine learning algorithms
• Experience building end-to-end machine learning systems
• Availability for meetings during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
