Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on performance optimization for machine learning workloads, the remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer will own end-to-end initiatives to enhance the efficiency and scalability of Ads ML systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and implement targeted improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Own performance optimization initiatives for high-impact production ML workloads, from identification to rollout
• Profile and diagnose ML performance bottlenecks across various metrics using rigorous benchmarking
• Design and implement improvements in inference execution, memory management, and runtime behavior

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience in ML performance engineering with a proven track record of implementing improvements
• Deep expertise in ML performance areas such as inference execution or GPU/kernel optimization
• Strong profiling and benchmarking skills to systematically identify and validate performance improvements
• Proficiency in Python and experience with performance-sensitive systems
• Familiarity with production ML frameworks and understanding of performance trade-offs across systems
