Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer working remotely, the candidate will run experiments to enhance classification accuracy, design classifiers for product eligibility, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve machine learning systems.

Key responsibilities

• Run experiments to test hypotheses and improve classification accuracy of products against eligibility rules
• Design and iterate classifiers using various machine learning approaches, including prompting and fine-tuning
• Collaborate with clinical ops and legal teams to create labeled data and ensure compliance with eligibility standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering or applied research experience, including 2+ years with LLMs or other ML models
• Proven track record of conducting rigorous experiments with clear hypotheses and sound methodologies
• Hands-on experience with prompting, fine-tuning, and retrieval on foundation models
• Fluency in Python and experience taking ML experiments to production
• Public evidence of experimental work, such as papers or open-source contributions
