Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To build a customer-facing AI platform, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will take customer problems from idea to working prototype, train and evaluate models for various machine learning tasks, and own the full ML lifecycle while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Rapidly develop prototypes to address customer challenges and transition successful models to production
• Train, fine-tune, and evaluate models for matching, classification, and extraction tasks using classical ML, embeddings, and LLMs
• Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation systems and monitor models in production for performance and cost efficiency

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in ML engineering, applied data science, or AI engineering
• Proven track record of deploying ML or AI systems to production and managing them post-launch
• Hands-on experience with model training and evaluation, including feature engineering and experiment design
• Experience building production applications with LLMs and familiarity with MLOps practices and tools
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with AWS services for ML workloads
