Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will design, build, and maintain machine learning models for energy market forecasting and grid analytics while collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide insights for clients in the power sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, gather, and validate datasets for power-sector applications, addressing uncertainties and data gaps
• Design and implement end-to-end ML pipelines for energy market forecasting and grid analytics
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to translate research insights into scalable forecasting and optimization systems

Required qualifications

• Experience in building and deploying machine learning models in power trading or related fields
• A master's or Ph.D. in applied statistics, applied economics, computer science, or a related field
• Strong Python skills with experience in ML frameworks and time-series forecasting techniques
• Ability to monitor real-time data affecting wholesale power and gas markets
• Experience in fast-paced environments with evolving product needs
