Senior Mainframe Developer
Job Summary
Obsessing over performance and efficiency, the full-time Senior Mainframe Developer will build low-level, high-performance instrumentation inside CICS and z/OS, diagnose complex behaviors, and deliver code for mission-critical environments while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and ship features for enterprise-level applications using HLASM
- Analyze dumps, traces, and performance bottlenecks to improve system performance
- Collaborate with a small, elite team of engineers to push the limits of mainframe capabilities
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of real-world HLASM experience
- Deep expertise in z/OS and CICS internals, systems programming, and runtime behavior
- Strong hands-on experience with CICS, JCL, SDSF, and USS
- Proven ability to analyze system dumps and traces
- Working knowledge of COBOL, PL/I, or C for testing and debugging
