Job Summary
Supporting mission-critical enterprise systems, the remote Senior Mainframe Developer will maintain and enhance complex applications on IBM z/OS platforms, analyze legacy codebases, and contribute to modernization efforts for a major transportation/logistics environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance complex mainframe applications on IBM z/OS platforms
- Analyze and modify COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM legacy codebases
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, performing root-cause analysis
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of IBM z/OS mainframe development experience
- Senior-level COBOL development proficiency
- Advanced hands-on experience with JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM
- Proven troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis ability
- Experience maintaining and enhancing existing enterprise applications
