Job Summary
To support a project with the State of South Carolina, the contract Senior Mainframe Developer will work remotely to enhance an existing mainframe accounting platform, focusing on Composite Reservoir Accounts and modifying COBOL programs while ensuring accurate financial processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing programs to identify changes needed for Composite Reservoir Accounts
- Design and implement CRA functionality, including account management and processing
- Modify COBOL programs and JCL for nightly and month-end processing, ensuring compliance with audit and reconciliation standards
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Enterprise COBOL development experience in a z/OS environment
- 5+ years of experience with NaturalOne
- 3+ years of JCL development and production support experience
- 3+ years of experience supporting financial or accounting systems in a regulated environment
- Experience with double-entry posting, balance maintenance, and month-end closeouts
