Job Summary
Providing architectural guidance and operational support, the remote Senior Mainframe Storage Engineer (IBM z/OS) will monitor and maintain the mainframe storage environment while collaborating with storage vendors on implementations and enhancements.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the mainframe storage environment
- Provide technical leadership on storage strategy and best practices
- Participate in product upgrades, configuration changes, and disaster recovery planning
Required qualifications:
- 9 years of related IT experience with 2 years in corporate planning or strategic development
- Strong expertise in IBM z/OS storage administration
- Experience with coding SMS Client routines and ISMF
- HSM configuration and administration experience
- Four-year degree required; Master's degree preferred
