Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Supporting a diverse range of clients, the full-time remote Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage mainframe hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration while ensuring optimal performance and service restoration.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively maintain hardware at current microcode levels and support client business transitions
- Troubleshoot major system issues and participate in problem resolution for Sev1/Sev2 incidents
- Create documentation and automation tools to enhance team productivity and efficiency
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Hardware Management Consoles for mainframe hardware (Processor, DISK, TAPE)
- Extensive knowledge of IOCP/IOCDS/IODF and IBM's Copy Service Manager
- Ability to analyze performance on DASD and Tape subsystems
