Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer will perform database software upgrades, administration, and tuning for CA Datacom environments, while managing day-to-day maintenance and providing 24/7 on-call support as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct database optimization, performance reviews, and new client onboarding
- Maintain documentation and adhere to change management policies for all tasks completed
- Collaborate with vendor personnel to resolve database issues and ensure timely solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of professional experience in CA Datacom and related products
- Experience in a large, 24/7 environment with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to support requests from multiple clients
- Ability to write, debug, and tune SQL
