Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Providing premium software support for MQ products, the full-time Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage customer service orders, resolve reported issues, and assist with customer migrations while working remotely across multiple time zones.
Key responsibilities
- Fulfill customer service orders for mainframe z/OS customers related to MQ software products
- Provide primary support for reported problems and assist in customer migrations involving MQ software products
- Follow procedures for installing MQ software products and adhere to ITSM change control procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience on the zSeries platform, including installation and maintenance of CICS TS and OEM products
- Thorough knowledge of CICS TS capabilities and IBM's SMP/E
- Experience with performance monitoring of CICS TS regions
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure
