Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Providing premium software support to mainframe clients, the remote Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage customer service requests and troubleshoot IMS-related issues while ensuring best practices in software management and installation.
Key responsibilities
- Fulfill customer service requests for IMS and related OEM software products in a timely manner
- Provide primary support for reported problems and assist in customer migration services
- Execute tasks associated with disaster recovery plans and adhere to ITSM change control procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of professional experience in IMS for administration and systems programming support
- Extensive knowledge of software management best practices and IMS database organization
- Strong JCL skills and experience with IMS in a parallel sysplex environment
- Proficiency in troubleshooting IMS system and database issues
