Senior Manager, AI & Automation

Job Summary

Accountable for building and leading the engineering team, the full-time remote Senior Manager, AI & Automation will manage the delivery of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent automation products across the retail enterprise while ensuring governance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the AI and automation portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of AI and automation engineers, focusing on hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Own the roadmap and end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational health
• Establish engineering standards for quality, security, and operational readiness while managing production accountability and cost management

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, applied AI, or automation
• 3+ years of direct people leadership experience, including team development and performance management
• Demonstrated ability to deliver production technology products at enterprise scale
• Technical expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, and related technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
