Senior Manager, Application Development

Job Summary

Managing a team of Senior Application Development Engineers, the full-time Senior Manager, Application Development will oversee the design and implementation of complex enterprise software solutions while collaborating with various technical and non-technical roles in a remote setting with quarterly travel requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee large-scale application development projects, ensuring project scope, schedule, and budget are monitored and communicated effectively
• Establish training and career development plans for application developers and manage third-party development teams to meet performance standards
• Lead the design and development of proof of concept and prototype application environments while ensuring compliance with security and change management policies

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related experience, including prior management experience
• Experience with application development and architecture, as well as knowledge of Agile software development practices
• Hands-on technical background with databases and data governance, preferably with graph model databases
• Preferred experience in healthcare payer, provider operations, or provider data management
• Ability to lead and manage teams effectively, with strong collaboration and coaching skills
