Senior Manager, Applied Science

Job Summary

Leading a team of Applied Scientists, the remote Senior Manager, Applied Science will develop, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models to enhance clinical workflows while mentoring team members and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance team of Applied Scientists
• Translate complex healthcare problems into scalable machine learning solutions
• Partner with AI Engineering to scale solutions and ensure reliability and safety of Clinical AI

Required qualifications

• PhD with 7+ years or MS with 10+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or applied AI, including 2+ years in a leadership role
• Experience with modern language models and classical ML techniques in production settings
• Expertise in statistical methods, experimental design, and model evaluation
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and scikit-learn
• AWS experience and a track record of collaborating with business functions to drive decision-making
