Senior Manager, Deployed Engineering
Job Summary
As a player-coach in a full-time remote role, the Senior Manager, Deployed Engineering will lead critical deployments, write production code, and build a strong engineering team while collaborating closely with enterprise customers and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery for major enterprise customer deployments, managing scoping through production
- Write production code to build agents, integrations, and tools while addressing complex technical challenges
- Hire, coach, and develop a team of forward deployed engineers, creating repeatable deployment processes and transforming field work into reusable platform features
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in forward deployed, solutions, or customer engineering roles
- Recent experience writing production software and a desire to continue hands-on development
- Experience mentoring engineers and enthusiasm for building a team from an early stage
- Comfort engaging with senior enterprise stakeholders in regulated environments
- Good judgment in balancing customer-specific solutions with platform-wide needs
