Job Summary
Leading a team of 6-10 engineers, the full-time Senior Manager, Platform Engineering will oversee the design, development, and operation of core platform services, ensuring reliable delivery and fostering a high-trust engineering culture in a flexible remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of software engineers, focusing on hiring, onboarding, and performance growth
- Own end-to-end delivery for the team's domain, setting priorities and ensuring predictable commitments from design to production
- Establish service reliability and operational practices, driving down incidents across various environments
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience building production software, with substantial hands-on experience in distributed systems and Kubernetes
- 5+ years of experience managing software engineers, with a proven track record in team development and delivery
- Experience with major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services
- Strong knowledge of containers, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code
- Ability to communicate technical risks and trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
