Senior Manager, Security Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a combined Security Engineering and Operations function, the full-time Senior Manager, Security Engineering will oversee vulnerability management, incident response, and threat hunting while establishing proactive threat management practices in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Security Engineers, fostering a coaching culture
• Establish and manage a vulnerability management program, defining SLAs and remediation processes
• Design and maintain incident response procedures and oversee a 24x7 on-call rotation for the team

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security operations, incident response, or security engineering roles with hands-on technical depth
• 7+ years managing security teams of 5+ engineers with demonstrated team development and coaching ability
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and detection rule development
• Proven track record transitioning teams from reactive incident response to proactive threat hunting
• Experience managing managed security service provider (MSSP) engagements
