Senior Manager, Security Operations

Job Summary

Leading the establishment and growth of a Security Operations Center (SOC), the full-time Senior Manager, Security Operations will oversee detection and response strategies, incident management, and threat intelligence in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the SOC operating model, including coverage structure and escalation paths for a globally distributed team
• Own the detection strategy and coverage posture, ensuring alignment with MITRE ATT&CK and addressing identified risks
• Manage 24/7 incident response efforts, serving as incident commander during significant incidents and communicating effectively with executives

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or threat intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Hands-on experience in writing detections, leading investigations, and building automation in security operations
• Proven track record of building or significantly rebuilding a SOC function
• Deep knowledge of detection and response tools, including SIEM, EDR, and cloud-native telemetry
• Experience with cloud and container security monitoring, particularly in AWS and Kubernetes environments
